## About

AI already shapes your world: the videos in your feed, the characters in your games, the filters on your camera, the voice assistant in the kitchen. Explorer helps you understand it, question it and use it to make things, in short, playful lessons made for ages 10 to 13. The program runs in four seasons. Season 1, Understand, opens the box: how your feed learns what you like, what is really inside an AI "brain", and how the AI in your games and phone works. Season 2, Think, teaches you to think sharper than the machine: spotting fakes, mapping systems, protecting your data and looking after your mind. Season 3, Create, puts you in the maker's seat: clear prompts, stories and art made with AI (and credited honestly), your first apps built by describing them, your own games, and helper bots you test and keep safe. Season 4 is about leading: using AI fairly, safely and to help the people around you. Every lesson follows the same rhythm: learn one clear idea with an everyday example from school, football, music, gaming or family life; play with it in an interactive tool; build or do something small; and reflect. Along the way you practise the thinking tools that matter far beyond AI: first principles, the 5 Whys, systems maps, claim-evidence-reasoning, the debugging mindset and explaining it back. Everything happens on the page. The practice AI runs on ARFA's own safe system, so there are no outside accounts to create and no personal details to share.

Who it is for: Young people aged 10 to 13 who are curious about the AI in their apps, games and phones. No coding or technical background needed. Parents and carers can follow along.

## What you will be able to do

- Explain how video and social feeds learn from your signals, and steer your own feed
- Describe how AI learns from examples, in your own words, and why it makes mistakes
- Spot unfair training data and explain why it leads to unfair AI
- Explain how game characters, camera filters, voice assistants and autocomplete work
- Use thinking tools like first principles, the 5 Whys and systems maps on real problems
- Use AI safely: keep personal details private and check what AI tells you
- Write clear prompts with a goal, context, limits and examples, and improve them step by step
- Create stories, art and music with AI as a helper, and give honest credit for what AI did
- Build and debug a small app by describing it, testing it and fixing it in small steps
- Design a game with a loop, fair rules and levels, and improve it by playtesting with family
- Set up a helper bot with rules and knowledge, test its weak spots and know when a human must decide

## Curriculum

### Module 1: How your feed knows you

Find out how video and social apps choose what you see next: the signals you send, the loop that builds a bubble around you, the design tricks that make it hard to stop, and the moves that put you back in charge.

- Your feed is learning from you (10 min)
- The bubble you did not choose (11 min)
- Why it is so hard to stop scrolling (11 min)
- Take back the controls (12 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 2: Inside the AI brain

Discover how AI learns patterns from examples, what a neural network is (with no maths), why AI makes strange mistakes, how unfair data makes unfair AI, and why AI is neither alive nor magic.

- AI learns from examples, not rules (11 min)
- A brain made of tiny dials (12 min)
- Why AI gets it wrong (11 min)
- Not alive, not magic, and only as fair as its data (12 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 3: AI in your games and phone

Look inside the AI you meet every day: how game characters chase you and find their way, how camera filters find your face, how voice assistants and autocomplete guess what you mean, and what runs on your phone versus far away in the cloud.

- How game characters chase you (12 min)
- How your camera finds your face (11 min)
- Voice assistants and autocomplete: guessing what you mean (11 min)
- On your phone or in the cloud? (12 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 4: Fake or real?

Become a fake-spotter. See how AI makes pictures, voices and text that look real, catch a chatbot making things up, and learn the fact-checker's habits: stop, check the source, look at what others say, and use claim, evidence, reasoning before you share anything.

- Can you trust your eyes? (10 min)
- Deepfake detective (11 min)
- When AI makes things up (11 min)
- Check before you share (12 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 5: Systems are everywhere

Learn to see the hidden machinery behind everyday things: the lunch queue, a game's coins, a football team, a family shop, the traffic outside school. Map parts and connections, spot loops that grow and loops that balance, find the bottleneck, and fix problems without causing new ones.

- What is a system? (10 min)
- Inside a game economy (11 min)
- Loops that balance, and why things lag (12 min)
- Fix it without breaking it (12 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 6: Your data, your power

Find out what your digital footprint is, what apps collect about you and why, and how to use privacy settings. Then teach a machine yourself to see how unfair data makes unfair AI, and learn why consent matters for you and your friends.

- Your digital footprint (10 min)
- What apps want to know (and why) (11 min)
- Teaching machines fairly (12 min)
- Consent and your power (11 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 7: AI and your mind

See how apps compete for your attention and how a feed can shrink your world, learn to use AI to make your brain stronger instead of doing your thinking for you, understand what AI chat 'friends' can and cannot be, and build habits that put you in charge.

- Who wants your attention? (11 min)
- Learning with AI, not letting AI do it (12 min)
- AI friends? Know the limits (11 min)
- Your habits, your rules (12 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 8: Prompt power

Clear thinking is a superpower, and prompts are where it shows. Learn the prompt recipe: say your goal, give context, set limits and show an example, then taste and adjust until the answer is right. Keep your personal details out of every prompt.

- Clear thinking is a superpower (10 min)
- Give it context and limits (11 min)
- Show it an example (11 min)
- Taste and adjust: iterate (12 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 9: Create: stories, art, music

Make things with AI without letting it take over. You make the first draft, AI helps you explore, and you make the final choices. Learn how copyright protects people who make things, how to give honest credit, and why you never pass AI work off as your own.

- You make the first draft (11 min)
- Art and music with AI (11 min)
- Who owns it? Copyright basics (12 min)
- Give credit, never pass it off (11 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 10: Vibe coding 101

Build a real little app by describing it to AI. Learn the builder's loop: describe, build, test, fix. Take small steps, read the code the AI writes instead of trusting it blindly, debug like a detective, and keep personal details out of everything you build.

- Describe it, build it (11 min)
- Read the code AI writes (12 min)
- Debug like a detective (12 min)
- Small steps, big app (11 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 11: Game studio

Think like a game designer. Find the loop at the heart of every game, write rules that make it fair and fun, design levels that teach without words, and give characters simple rules that make them feel alive. Then playtest with your family and improve your game from what you see.

- Every game is a loop (11 min)
- Rules, goals and a fair challenge (11 min)
- Levels and playtests (12 min)
- Characters with a mind of their own (11 min)
- Module quiz

### Module 12: Bots and agents

Find out what bots and AI agents are and how an agent works in a loop to reach a goal. Design your own helper bot with a personality, rules and knowledge, test it like a red team to find its weak spots, and decide which choices must always stay with a human.

- Bots and agents: what is the difference? (11 min)
- Build a helper bot: personality, rules and knowledge (12 min)
- Test it like a red team (12 min)
- When a human must decide (11 min)
- Module quiz

## How you are assessed

- A quiz after each module (80% to pass, retakes allowed).
- Each certificate has a public page at https://tiblogics.com/certificates/<reference> that anyone can open to check it.
